Overview
Led a YouTube account audit for a client in the packaging and manufacturing industry to enhance channel performance, engagement, and alignment with industry trends. The audit assessed the channel’s purpose, current state, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive measurable results. This project was crucial in helping the client stay ahead of competitors leveraging digital platforms to showcase eco-friendly solutions and supply chain optimisation.
Behind-the-scenes
The audit began with a comprehensive review of the channel’s branding, content strategy, and SEO practices. Key steps included analysing video performance metrics such as views, watch time, audience retention, and engagement rates. We assessed the effectiveness of titles, descriptions, and tags to improve discoverability while benchmarking against five industry competitors. Additionally, we examined audience demographics and behaviour to tailor content to their preferences. Based on these insights, we recommended integrating industry-specific trends, such as sustainable packaging innovations and automation solutions, into future content.
Impact
The audit presentation, led by me and the lead consultant, provided the client with valuable insights into their channel’s strengths and weaknesses. We developed a strategic roadmap with immediate, actionable recommendations for quick wins. This audit enabled better resource allocation for content creation and marketing efforts, ultimately enhancing the brand’s online presence and driving viewership growth.
